Why iOS 12 Is Going To Grow Your Business

With Apple's iOS 12 right around the corner, it's time you know what to expect from this major update. As a business owner, you have limited time. That's why we've done the leg work to give you the most up to date information on iOS 12 and what it means to your business.

Faster Everything

When it comes to our devices, we care about speed. Let's face it, most of us run our business from our devices. iOS 12 has been designed for all around more speed on your iPhone or iPad. Here's the best part, you don't need to have the latest greatest iPhone X or iPad Pro in order to reap these benefits. These enhancements are taking place on models all the way back to the iPhone 5s and iPad Air.

According to Apple.com we can expect up to 70% faster camera swipe, 50% faster keyboard display, and 2x faster app launch under heavy workload.

FaceTime Meetings

Team meetings just became a lot easier. You can now FaceTime with up to 32 people at once. The tile of the person speaking will automatically get larger so you don't get lost in the conversation.

*Update: Group FaceTime may not roll out in time for initial release. If these rumors are true, expect it in the first patch updates following initial release.

Do Not Disturb (For now)

The Do Not Disturb feature is nice to have but if you're running your business from your phone its too much risk to forget to turn it off. Next thing you know you've missed your scheduled call with your new client. With iOS 12, we'll be able to set parameters around when we choose not to receive notifications. Schedule Do Not Disturb while you're at a client meeting, and it'll automatically turn off when you leave that location.

Even More Privacy

Apple has always believed that privacy is important. With iOS 12 it goes even further. Safari now prevents Share buttons and comment widgets on web pages from tracking you without your permission. Safari also prevents advertisers from collecting your device’s unique characteristics, so they can’t identify your device or retarget ads to you across the web. Besides, you have enough to worry about in your own business's marketing.

There's an even bigger feature coming in iOS 12 that we believe deserves an article of its own..
